JOB OVERVIEW:
We are currently seeking a reliable and hardworking Welding Operative to join our team. As a Welding Operative you will be responsible for the production of steel moulds, and the creation of rebar cages for our concrete surfaces to give them the support and stability they require.
KEY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
The key duties and responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to:
– Making steel moulds.
– General Repairs within the factories and yard.
– Measuring and cutting rebar to fit project specifications.
– Making rebar cages and tac welding.
– The use of power tools and other equipment to create rebar cages.
– Follow safety standards and procedures to prevent accidents and injuries.
– Maintain and inspect tools and equipment regularly.
– General housekeeping of work areas.
PERSON SPECIFICATION:
– Previous experience in a warehouse or production environment is desired.
– Familiarity with power tools and hand tools.
– Ability to read and interpret work instructions.
– Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
– Excellent manual dexterity.
– Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
– Basic math skills for measuring and calculating dimensions.
