FREELANCE FUNDRAISING & DEVELOPMENT CONSULTANT
Robert Burns Ellisland Trust
The Trust seeks an experienced fundraising professional/consultancy to provide senior fundraising support during a critical phase for our Project, Saving the Home of Auld Lang Syne. This is funded by the National Lottery Heritage Fund and aims to restore Ellisland Museum and Farm Farm and develop it as a world class culture and heritage destination.
The role will focus on:
• Trusts and foundations fundraising
• Prospect prioritisation and progression
• Bid writing
• Funding applications
• Fundraising coordination
The Trust has already developed:
• A detailed Case for Support
• Campaign materials, including a campaign film
• Substantial technical and budget information
• Previous successful funding applications
• A live prospect pipeline
The emphasis of the role will therefore be on:
• Delivery
• Prioritisation
• Application preparation
• Progressing funding opportunities within a compressed timetable
The consultant will work closely with the Project Director, Chair, Trustees and professional advisers to help secure major support for the Delivery Phase of the project. This is a six month fixed term contract. We anticipate you will devote 1.5 to 2.5 days per week to the contract which is worth £20 – £30,000 depending on experience and time devoted.
